Today's Prompt: A day in the life of my children...

A day in the life of my boys:

7:00am - The boys are bright eyed and bushy tailed. Okay, Mikey is...Ryan not so much! They chose to have cereal, and both loved seeing the dehydrated strawberries rehydrate in the milk. Mikey said he loved them...who knew that crunchy strawberries were that good?

10:30am - Both boys are off in the land of make believe. They have gotten out blocks, cars transport, construction equipment, and lots of Cars. When I ask what they were building they looked at me, and said "Mommy, its a factory! We are making bread." (Interesting....)

12:15pm - Lunch time. The boys are a little obsessed with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, as of late. Each has their own way of having the sandwich cut; Mikey has to have two triangles, and Ryan has to have four mini sandwiches.

1:00pm - Learning and motor skills. Today we painted our helicopter model. Both Ryan and Mikey enjoyed painting the tiny parts, as they had to really think about each stroke of the brush. Once we were done painting the model, we mixed the left over paint to work on our colors.

3:00pm - I found the boys playing in their room, making funny faces at each other!

5:30pm - Dinner time. It was one of "those," nights and I had to make each boy something different, as Ryan had a major melt down, when he was served chicken nuggets. Thank goodness broccoli and macaroni was served, or he would never have calmed down.

8:00pm - Story time, is the best time of the day. The boys know that they are snug in their pajamas, and it is time to relax and calm down from the day's excitement. Tonight we read most of the stories in the latest issue of Highlights, that came in the mail today. The boys love all of the fun things that are mentioned, this issue included farming, making mom a card, silly pictures, bird nests, and fruits.

8:15pm - Time for kisses and good night hugs, and tucking the boys into bed. Mikey runs to the bathroom one last time, and then we tuck both boys into bed. Ryan must have his blanket, and Mikey needs Bear-bear. One last good night kiss, and we turn out the lights.

There is many variables and freedom in our daily schedule, but this is the basic pattern of our days. For those who are Work At Home Moms, do you stick to a schedule or basic daily routine? What works for you? What doesn't work?
