The 25 Books of Christmas - Prepare Early!
Have you heard of the 25 Books of Christmas? My friend Leanne, introduced this idea to me and we have been doing this for the last three years! The idea is simple, collect all of the Christmas or winter books, that you have and then wrap them up to open one each night, prior to bed time. I wanted to review the titles that we have in our collection, as we head into our fourth year of doing this fun family tradition! I wanted to see if we had any duplicates or books that were not suited for my kids ages, as a few were baby books when I bought them. I will head back to our local Goodwill, and replace four of our books, as my boys have out grown the titles. I love that I can find great holiday books at our local book swaps, book sales, or local thrift stores often for less than a dollar.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing, with your readers! I am happy to hear that your family takes part in the reading fun! Thank you for stopping by, have a great week!
DeleteI absolutely love that idea! Obviously, I can't put my kids on my lap for storytime anymore, but I'm going to remember this for whenever they have kids some day!
ReplyDeleteLiz, thanks for stopping by! I had never heard of it either, but the kids love it! They think unwrapping a book each night is so much fun, and it encourages reading! When I can pick up books at the thrift store for 50 cents, and wrapping paper for $1, it is a win win, and has been a huge hit at our house!
