Ready To Carve Pumpkins?

Ready to carve pumpkins? We are attending a pumpkin carving party on Saturday, and the kids are so excited! We purchased our pumpkins last weekend, and the boys have asked all week if it is time to carve them. We purchased a kit with eyes, and it appears to be simple enough, that the boys can be very active in the carving. If I did not have to work with my youngest, I would go all out like I have in years past. (Spending hours cleaning, thinning, scooping, and carving beautiful works of pumpkin art! Who am I kidding I do a crooked smiley face every year!) So we are simplifying this year and letting the kids have fun, with a little guidance.

If you are able, and seeking inspiration; I found these great ideas on Pinterest:

Hate using carving knives and the little gizmo found in kits? I love this simple idea!

As a fan of the St. Louis Cardnials, I have to share this fun template!

I love monograms and just love these ideas from Martha!

I love this idea, if you are crafty and do not want the mess of carving a pumpkin!
