Room Mom vs. Fall Party?
My five year old's Kindergarten class is having a simple Fall party, prior to the Thanksgiving break. As the children are five, and only have 50 minutes his teacher requested a simple craft, and a snack. I of course headed to pinterest, and cannot in any way claim to be Super Mom, and did not come up with the ideas on my own! (Although I wish I had!)
So, I am crossing my fingers that the place-mats turn out, and they enjoy making their own acorns! Wish me luck, as I have never been a room mom!
UPDATE: I loved my first time as a room mom! (4 moms took on 20 kids, and we had so much fun!) I cut out leaves, and place setting shapes to make place mats out of construction paper. The class then made donut acorns from glazed donut holes, chocolate frosting, pretzel sticks, and chocolate sprinkles. My son's teacher then surprised the moms with the class singing and using sign language for Fall songs and a thank you song! (A huge thank you goes out the the 4 Super Moms who helped and donated supplies!)
