{Review} Hasbro Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bounce Game

The giveaway has closed, the winner is Wendy R!
Thank you to all those that entered!

Angry Birds and Star Wars have combined much to the excitement of my two boys! I am so excited to share these two items with you that I received from Hasbro for my personal review.

I surprised the boys after school, with a really cool box, clearly labeled with a Hasbro Angry Birds "May The Fourth Be With You" label. They instantly knew that sheer joy was inside this box, they just had to contain themselves while the box was opened! Inside was an Angry Birds Star Wars Foam Flyer and an Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bounce Game! Can you say Hasbro Family Game Night?
The classic Star Wars characters; like Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, and Luke Skywalker, get a new makeover as Angry Birds. The Angry Birds Star Wars Foam Flyer, of  Luke Skywalker, was a huge hit as we setup red cups as a tower, to see who could knock off the green "pig" golf ball! The kids each took a turn launching the Angry Birds Star Wars Foam Flyer, and I didn't have to worry about it bouncing off walls, furniture, or other family members in the room! I was so happy it was soft, as the boys got very competitive, and it flew every where! Nothing was harmed in the process!

Our next adventure during our Hasbro Game Night, was to assemble and play the Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bounce Game! The boys loved helping to build the Millennium Falcon, and then helped to apply the stickers. Assembly was very quick and easy!

The game Angry Birds is known for flying battles, but you add Star Wars, and this game night just went into intergalactic bouncing wonder! The boys quickly figured out how to "battle" the sinister swine, by bouncing the three fearless Rebel Angry Birds balls, featuring Luke Skywalker, Hans Solo, and Chewbacca! The object is to  score points for every pig you knock over, bounce into the cockpit, or land into the center of the Millennium Falcon. This game was active, encouraged moment, and helped the boys to really focus on the target! Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon, has been given a place of honor on my son's dresser, so I see many Hasbro Family Game Nights in the near future!
Look for the Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT ATTACK BATTLE GAME, as it is a stack, launch, and destroy game! It includes 12 Angry Birds Star Wars figures, 21 blocks to build the AT-AT, and a light saber launcher! Also included, is a special code to unlock Angry Birds Star Wars App content!
Did you know that May 4th is a special day? Say "May the 4th Be With You," out loud, and you will hear the pun made famous by The Empire Strikes Back! It has be proclaimed by Star Wars fans as a national day to host Star Wars Saga movie marathons, wear costumes, and quote famous movie lines from the films, such as "May the Force be with you!" Will you be celebrating this year?

Would you like to have a Hasbro Game Night of your own? Enter to win a Hasbro Angry Birds Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bounce Game & Angry Birds Star Wars Foam Flyer for your family! Ends this Friday, May 2nd at Midnight! Good luck!

Hallmark Hall Of Fame presents "Remember Sunday"

REMEMBER SUNDAY

A lonely down-on-her-luck waitress meets a handsome, quirky jewelry store clerk and thinks that maybe, finally, she’s met “the right guy.” The more Molly (Alexis Bledel) gets to know Gus (Zachary Levi), the more she’s intrigued by him. But she’s also mystified, and sometimes miffed. Gus seems really absent-minded, really preoccupied. Is there already a girlfriend in his life? Is he harboring some big secret? What is his problem, Molly wonders.

Well, Gus’s problem is that three years ago he suffered a brain aneurysm. He can remember everything that happened in his life pre-aneurysm, when he was a star astrophysicist; but his memory grasp on everything since then is virtually non-existent. Every day is a brand new day – literally – for Gus. From the moment his alarm clock goes off, his life is directed by Post-it notes. You can imagine the complications that arise when Gus meets Molly.

As her love for him continues to grow, he discovers that he can indeed fall in love with the same woman every day. But can Molly imagine a future with a man who cannot recall their past?
REMEMBER SUNDAY is a touching, fun romance about life’s possibilities when we “love in the moment.”

Monsters University: Which House Would You Pledge?

Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” welcomes some of Hollywood’s top stars to its roster of voice talent for this summer’s frighteningly funny comedy adventure, opening in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013. Joining Billy Crystal and John Goodman are Steve Buscemi, Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, Dave Foley, Sean P. Hayes, Joel Murray, Peter Sohn, Charlie Day, Nathan Fillion, Bobby Moynihan, Julia Sweeney, Aubrey Plaza, Tyler Labine, John Krasinski, Bonnie Hunt, Beth Behrs and John Ratzenberger. Also revealed this week were the story and screenplay credits. Directed by Dan Scanlon, “Monsters University” features a story and screenplay by Daniel Gerson & Robert L. Baird (“Monsters, Inc.”) and Scanlon.
Scanlon says the cast was able to bring the story to life with great ingenuity and enthusiasm. “Working with this group of actors was an extraordinary experience. They each brought a unique level of humor, emotion and creativity to their work that not only complemented their individual performances, but made the overall story come together in a really wonderful way.”
The voice cast includes the following:
· Billy Crystal (“Parental Guidance,” “When Harry Met Sally,” “City Slickers”) reprises his role as Mike Wazowski, now a college-age monster who follows his dream of becoming a Scarer at Monsters University.
· John Goodman (“Argo,” “Flight,” “Trouble With the Curve”) returns as James P. Sullivan (Sulley), an overly confident, young hotshot Scaring student at Monsters University.
· Steve Buscemi (“Boardwalk Empire”) rejoins the monster world as Randy Boggs, a Monsters University freshman who is ready to experience all that college has to offer (if only he can curb his habit of disappearing).
· Helen Mirren (“Hitchcock,” “The Queen”) gives voice to Dean Hardscrabble, legendary Scarer and hard-to-please head of Monsters University’s prestigious School of Scaring.
· Alfred Molina (TNT’s “Monday Mornings,” “The Da Vinci Code,” “Frida”) is the voice of Professor Knight, an esteemed professor in Monsters University’s School of Scaring.
· Dave Foley (TV’s “NewsRadio,” “The Kids in the Hall”) as Terry Perry, the skeptical half of a bickering two-headed monster and dedicated Oozma Kappa (OK) brother.
· Sean P. Hayes (“The Three Stooges,” TV’s “Up All Night”) gives voice to Terri Perry, the more sensitive side of a two-headed Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity brother with Scaring aspirations.
· Joel Murray (TV’s “Mad Men,” “Two and a Half Men”) voices Don Carlton, a “mature” student at Monsters University and a founding member of the Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity.
·  Pixar’s Peter Sohn (“Ratatouille,” “Small Fry”) provides the voice of Scott “Squishy” Squibbles, an undeclared sophomore at Monsters University and Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity member who still lives with his doting mother.
· Charlie Day (“Horrible Bosses,” “Pacific Rim,” TV’s “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) provides the voice of the incomparable Art, an Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity brother with a questionable past.
· Nathan Fillion (“Much Ado About Nothing,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” TV’s “Castle”) portrays Johnny Worthington, the confident president of Roar Omega Roar (ROR), a Monsters University fraternity that prides itself on its notable Scarers.
· Bobby Moynihan (NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” HBO’s “Girls,” DreamWorks Studios’ “Delivery Man”) helps bring to life Chet Alexander, a yes-monster member of the Roar Omega Roar (ROR) fraternity.
· Julia Sweeney (TV’s “The Goode Family,” “Saturday Night Live”) lends her voice to Ms. Squibbles, indulgent mother to Monsters University sophomore Scott “Squishy” Squibbles.
· Aubrey Plaza (“To Do List,” TV’s “Parks and Recreation”) gives voice to Claire Wheeler, the somber president of Monsters University’s Greek Council and emcee for the annual Scare Games.
· Tyler Labine (“Tucker & Dale vs. Evil,” “Mad Love”) was tapped to voice Brock Pearson, vice president of the Greek Council and enthusiastic emcee of the Scare Games.
· John Krasinski (“Promised Land,” TV’s “The Office”) provides the voice of “Frightening” Frank McCay, a Scaring super star at Monsters, Inc.
· Bonnie Hunt (TV’s “The Bonnie Hunt Show,” “Cheaper By the Dozen”) was called on to provide the voice of young Mike Wazowski’s grade school teacher Karen Graves.
· Beth Behrs (TV’s “2 Broke Girls”) serves as the voice of Carrie Williams, fearless leader of the Python Nu Kappa (PNK) sorority.
· John Ratzenberger (“Cheers,” Disney•Pixar’s feature films) returns to the Pixar recording studio as the voice of a Monsters, Inc. employee.
Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and features music from future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Randy Newman (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 3”).

Prayers For Boston

I am deeply saddened by the events of that happened in Boston, yesterday. I am heartbroken for the parents of the 8 year old, and 2 others that died in the senseless act that happened at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Two bombs exploded, hurting hundreds of people, and innocent people lost their lives.

I find comfort, that other explosive devices, were found before others were hurt. I am in constant awe of those first on the scene and the number of people that jumped in to help, regardless of their own needs or fears for safety! The City of Boston came together to help those in need, and that is the story I am sharing with my children. I find hope and peace, knowing that the City of Boston will not bend or waiver due to this horrible act.

My family will continue to pray this week for healing hearts, for peace, and unity in the coming days. Light a candle, say a prayer, train for the next marathon local to you, but do not give into the fear of the cowards behind the attack on Boston.
