New DreamWorks Pictures' "Need for Speed" Trailer

DreamWorks Pictures’ “Need for Speed” marks an exciting return to the great car culture films of the 1960s and ’70s, when the authenticity of the world brought a new level of intensity to the action on-screen. Tapping into what makes the American myth of the open road so appealing, the story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country journey for our heroes  one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. Based on the most successful racing video game franchise ever with over 140 million copies sold, "Need for Speed" captures the freedom and excitement of the game in a real-world setting, while bringing to life the passion for the road that has made our love of cars so timeless.

The film centers around Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), a blue-collar mechanic who races muscle cars on the side in an unsanctioned street-racing circuit. Struggling to keep his family-owned garage afloat, he reluctantly partners with the wealthy and arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). But just as a major sale to car broker Julia Bonet (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save Tobey's shop, a disastrous race allows Dino to frame Tobey for a crime he didn't commit, and sending Tobey to prison while Dino expands his business out west.

Two years later, Tobey is released and set on revenge  but he knows his only chance to take down his rival Dino is to defeat him in the high-stakes race known as De Leon — the Super Bowl of underground racing. However to get there in time, Tobey will have to run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet that includes dodging pursuing cops coast-to-coast as well as contending with a dangerous bounty Dino has put out on his car. With the help of his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic supercars, the underdog can still finish first.

“Need for Speed” is presented by DreamWorks Pictures, produced by Patrick O’Brien, John Gatins and Mark Sourian, and directed by Scott Waugh. The screenplay is by George Gatins. The story is by George Gatins & John Gatins, and, based on the video game series created by Electronic Arts. The film releases in U.S. theaters on March 14, 2014.

{Review} Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy Camera™ #vzwmidwest

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Verizon Wireless and Samsung. I was loaned a product sample, that facilitated my review.
My family and I headed out to see the many beautiful sights downtown, and to see if the Samsung Galaxy Camera  could keep up with our two very busy boys. I have a big bulky DSLR camera and the weight of it alone, makes it a challenge to chase after our kids. In my quest to find a camera that meets the demands of a quick action shot, is light weight, and has the many features that make sharing pictures on social media almost instant; I knew that the Samsung Galaxy Camera™ was up for the challenge! I have wanted to try this camera, ever since I saw it at our local Verizon Wireless store!

It was a breeze to point and shoot, and capture some amazing shots! The Samsung Galaxy Camera  does all of the "thinking," so that we could focus on making memories, verse trying to fiddle with settings and waiting for the perfect setup. I loved the clarity and ease of the camera! Did I mention that it was awesome to be able to share my pictures instantly via social media?! This camera was everything that I hoped that it would be! My family didn't have to freeze or hold still while Mom had to make sure that this do-dad was set, or this knob was ready. The Samsung Galaxy Camera  is amazing, and just what this Mom needed, to keep up with my family!

Mike & Ryan's Baptism

It might have been seven years later than when we asked, but we were so honored that Dawn M. and Ryan G. agreed to still be Mike and Ryan's Godparents! Both of these wonderful people, from different stages of our lives, mean so very much to us and our children! It takes two very special people to agree to something before Michael was even born, and once called many years later, laugh and tell us it was way over due! Not only that, but to then get an additional Godson in the deal...these two are fantastic inside and out!?

The day was simple, filled with love, surrounded by family, brought chuckles when an exorcism was needed, and ended with delicious food! Thank you to all who celebrated with our two boys!

Hallmark Hall of Fame presents Christmas In Conway

Sunday, December 01, 2013 on ABC
To the folks in Conway, South Carolina, Duncan Mayor is a very cranky guy. To “my sweet girl” – his wife, Suzy – he’s a doting pussycat.
But Suzy is just home from the hospital and cared for 24/7 by nurse Natalie, whom Duncan tries his best to ignore.
Duncan decides the best medicine Suzy could possibly have – and a Christmas present she’ll never forget -- is a ride on a real Ferris wheel, set up in their own back yard. Why a Ferris wheel? Because it was while riding one many moons ago that Duncan asked Suzy to marry him.
Where to find a 45-foot-high used Ferris wheel? Duncan strikes gold in an abandoned amusement park, presided over by a lonely ex-carnival worker -- Henry.
Assembling the mechanical monstrosity is not exactly a one-man job. Duncan gets a crucial assist from Tommy, a former student of Suzy’s, who is deeply in her debt. He’s become a successful landscape designer after a troubled youth; it was Suzy who set him straight.
Meanwhile, the neighbors are not amused; especially prim and proper Gayle Matthews. She’s entered her garden in an upscale magazine’s “Christmas Showcase” contest. The interest of the contest’s judges witnessing the atrocity next door is more than Gayle can bear. Fortunately, her brother is the local sheriff – and there are zoning laws to prevent this kind of thing, aren’t there?
Love doesn’t strike just once (Suzy/Duncan) in Christmas in Conway. Romantic magic happens, too, between Natalie and Tommy. Nurse meets landscape designer – a match made in Heaven.
Christmas in Conway is a testament to love, filled with scenes of hilarity. You won’t want to miss it.
