Turkey Day 2010

Image
Mike and I hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year! The day started off with a "Winter Mix," so we had snow on turkey day! (I made this "THANKFUL" banner.) Mikey and his hand turkey shirt. Ryan "loves" his shirt. Mikey and Ryan The boys were a little more excited about their turkey hats! Ryan, Mikey, and Ben played really well together. Mike was amazing, he cooked ALL day...and did the dishes! Gigi Mom Fortner made cookies, rice krispies , and a pumpkin roll! Aunt Diane made 2 pumpkin pies and an apple pie! My Dad surprised us, by hanging out with us for a few hours! After dinner we played games! Sam-Diane-Dad-Linda-Chris-Dawn **It was a GREAT day! Great food, and quality time spent with those I love! Thank you to my husband Mike for all of his hard work in the kitchen! Thanks to everyone who brought goodies and side dishes! (Broccoli Rice Casserole = heaven!)**

McD Play Place

After we mailed our letters to Santa, we treated the boys to nuggets and cheese burgers! Mikey was thrilled that we told him we were going inside! "Daddy they have a slide, inside...can we go? PLEASE!!!" Ryan Mikey looking down, and waving! "See how high I am Mommy?" Ryan making car sounds... brooommmm . Mikey ***Needless to say, the boys passed out in the car! It was a very busy FUN, filled day!***

Big Red Mail Box

Image
Macy*s has a big red mail box, for their "Believe" campaign, and for each letter they receive one dollar is donated to Make*A*Wish. Mikey was so excited, and carried the letters all the way into the store! "Ryan the letters go in here!" Ryan then put his letter into the HUGE mail box! SO excited and happy, Ryan clapped when he was done! 1, 2, 3 ...drop your coloring pages to Mrs. Claus!

Thanksgiving Story Time

Image
Barnes and Noble* had story time and free coloring pages with a Thanksgiving theme. The first story was just too cute...a woman ate so much food she became a parade float. (Mikey thought it was hilarious!) The next one was about a lonely little turkey! Ryan and Mikey coloring a turkey! Mikey Mikey wanted to look at the pages closer... Ryan preferred a book that made sound! Guess where we spent most of our time? At the Thomas train table.... Ryan loved the little bridge! Mikey played with the wash down shed! P.S. - Funny...when Mikey says Turkey, it sounds like " shurkey ."

Letters to Santa

Image
Mikey has been asking for awhile now, how Santa will know what he wants for Christmas. I normally just answer with "Santa just knows..." So we got out the paper, coloring books, and crayons, and wrote letters to Santa Claus! Ryan wanted in on the fun...but thought running away with the crayons was better than coloring on the paper! Mikey worked really hard on his picture for Mrs. Claus! (He used some really wild colors!) Mikey (with bed head) Envelopes... check! Letter to Santa Claus...check! Colored pictures for Mrs. Claus...check! It was a very productive morning!

Random Sunday Pictures

Mikey lounging at grandma Lee's house. Ryan and Mikey Ryan See Ryan's arm? Mikey was "protecting" Ryan from monsters. Leaving Grandma's, I asked Mike to pull the car over, so I could take a few pictures in this random field... We then headed to Grandma Fortner's house. Mike was teaching Dylan how to cook! The boys then watched a Pokemon and Snow Buddy's movie.
