Monsters University Hidden Gems!

Fans of Disney*Pixar’s feature films love to scour the screen in search of the Hidden Gems the filmmakers sneak into each film: WALL•E’s explorations uncover a Mike Wazowski antenna ball, paying homage to Monsters, Inc., and in Up, the classic Luxo Jr. ball can be seen in the girl’s bedroom as Carl Fredricksen’s house flies by her window. Disney*Pixar’s MONSTERS UNIVERSITY features a few such gems, three of which are revealed here:

A113 – The School of Scaring classroom number is A113, which refers to the former classroom of John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton at CalArts. The number makes an appearance in every Pixar feature film.

Pizza Planet – The Pizza Planet truck is in the driveway of the JOX fraternity house when Mike is riding Archie the Scare Pig down Greek Row. The Pizza Planet truck, which first made an appearance in "Toy Story," has made a cameo in nearly every Pixar feature film.

Luxo – The Pixar Luxo ball is in graffiti on the wall behind Claire Wheeler and Brock Pearson during their introduction to the Scare Games’ first challenge. Pixar Animation Studio’s groundbreaking short film “Luxo Jr.” was the first computer animated short film released by Pixar during its first year as a studio in 1986.

{Review} Cascade Platinum Pacs Scrubs Away Stuck-On Food!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for

Do you dread washing dishes? Are your plates and glassware speckled with water spots and streaks? Countless times I have purchased dish washer detergent, run a full cycle, and then find out that my dishes still aren't clean and have lost their sparkle and shine. The idea of then washing the dishes by hand, just makes me want to imagine that the dirty dishes will wash themselves! There has to be a better way!

There is a solution, and its found in Cascade Platinum Pacs! Cascade is so powerful, it helps your dish washer stay sparkling! It has a triple action formula, that helps prevent residue on your dishes, and even filming on your machine. Cascade Platinum scrubs away tough 24 hour stuck-on food, eliminates the need to pre-wash dishes, and has the Grease Fighting Power of Dawn!

My family and I enjoyed a breakfast of Belgian waffles, topped with strawberries, peaches, and lots of syrup! The type of clean up that other detergents, just wouldn't be able to handle. Our amazing breakfast, left the dishes a sticky, tacky, horrible mess! Even the dishwasher door, was coated in splatter, and drops of unknown film! How would Cascade Platinum Pacs, stand up to the challenge?

Everything sparkled after the cycle was completed! Like, the door, the walls, and my dishes were spot free! I was amazed that the evidence of our breakfast was long gone,  but that everything had found a new level of shine! Cascade was a vast improvement over the other brands, we have used in the past.

Now, more than ever, people eat with their eyes, and the evidence is all over sites like Facebook and Instagram. With that in mind, Top Chef judge and editor of Food+Wine magazine, Gail Simmons, has partnered with Cascade to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation.

·         From prep to plating: It’s more than just a great-tasting recipe, but also perfect presentation. Sparkling dishes, shining flat ware and spot-free glasses truly let you put your best food forward with culinary creations that pop!

·         Gail recommends impressing with a Platinum Presentation: “The easiest recipes pop with unexpected, gourmet presentations.  Drizzle bright sauces on sparkling white plates or layer desserts in crystal-clean glassware. Keep your presentation sparkling with Cascade Platinum, which keeps dishes perfect for anytime entertaining and impromptu guests.”

The Cascade “My Platinum” contest is encouraging fans to upload photos related to the weekly contest themes on Instagram. Show off how sparkly Cascade makes all your pots, pan and plates!

·         Visit the Cascade "My Platinum," page (http://tinyurl.com/PlatBlog) for information on how to enter and submit images. Each week, two contestants will be selected to receive a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher. Additionally, one lucky grand prize winner will receive a Platinum kitchen makeover!

To win, users have to both register and upload a photo with the #MyPlatinum hashtag and tag @MyCascade.  Participants that have not registered will be disqualified from winning.

Each week will have a 6-day entry period where Instagram users can enter the contest with their #MyPlatinum Photo. Cascade will choose two weekly winners and one final grand prize winner after the entry period has ended. Please be sure to include both the #MyPlatinum hashtag and tag @MyCascade in your entries to the contest!

·         Week 4 Theme: My Platinum Table (Entry Period: 6/24-6/30)
Show us your sparkling tablescape for your most special celebrations!

20th Anniversary of the Sandlot & TASK Field Dedication #CardsCare #TASK #STLSandLot

Thanks to Cardinals Care, FOX Sports Midwest, 20th Century FOX Home Entertainment, and the 20th Anniversary of the "Sandlot" a field was dedicated to some very special children in Fenton, Missouri. It was a morning I will never forget as Fredbird, the Fox Midwest Girls, and the staff of TASK all rallied around the children who were just smiling from ear to ear in anticipation of playing on the new baseball field!

David Mickey Evans (the Director) and Patrick Renna (Ham Porter), explained to those in attendance that the Sandlot was more than a baseball movie, it was a movie about friendship! Take a group of misfits, clean up an open lot, and all you need is a ball...it's where the real lessons in life were learned. The amazing thing about the "Sandlot," is that baseball was inclusive and allowed a kid with zero talent, to become legendary!

"Your killing me Smalls," and "Play ball,"were quoted as Pat Renna played with his team. The score didn't matter, and no one cared that "typical rules," were not followed in this game. This baseball game was about inclusion, fun, and smiles. When a community rallies around children with physical and mental challenges, so that all can play; it was an honor to watch and enjoy this momentous occasion!

You can get more information about TASK via Twitter and Facebook. Let's support TASK, Cardinals Care, FOX Sports Midwest, and 20th Century FOX Home Entertainment by your continued support and donations!

Monsters University Releases in Theaters TODAY!

I was invited to see Monsters University, on Tuesday, at an advance screening, and loved it! There are so many great things to share with you, I will try to contain my excitement as I write!  Make sure you are there with plenty of time for the previews, as you will be treated to an extended clip for Planes, a preview of Frozen, and the big release of the Blue Umbrella!

I thought the Pixar Short Film, Blue Umbrella, was artfully done, and was a feast for the eyes! The tale was unexpected, as every day objects draw you into the story and you cannot help but cheer for the Blue Umbrella, on his quest for love. (Look for the rain gutter, he was my favorite in this amazing short film.)

Monsters University, blew me away! It was beyond what I had hoped for, as I write this I cannot wait to take my 6 year old! He has asked what my favorite part was, and there are just too many, to select just one favorite scene  I promise I will not reveal any spoilers, so that you can enjoy the film just as much as I did!

I will tell you that I love Mike, and the opening sequence! There is something so adorable about an awkward youth in braces, and a heart filled with dreams as big as the solar system! The desire to fit in, seeking inspiration, and having a huge heart; are all things I see in my own children and something I identified with as a very nerdy little girl!

You will love the brothers of Oozma Kappa, and each of their colorful personalities! Find humor in the house mom, and I dare you to not giggle each time she appears in this film. I promise you a brotherhood and bond, that will remind you of your own family. The brothers of Oozma Kappa band together, and train for the Scare Games, just like any other Greek week challenge, but I promise you you have never competed in games like these!

Take your family to see this film! Monsters University would be a great way to avoid the heat of the first day of summer! Go and cheer for your favorite monster!

Heading to the Advance Screening of Monsters University!

Very excited to see Monsters University tonight! Have you registered yet, to attend MU?

Monsters University is a Disney Pixar Film which arrives in theaters June 21st! You can create our own monster and school identification here: (http://disney.go.com/monsters-university/create-a-monster/)

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer.  The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.
