Today's Prompt: Post an old photo...and tell us what was happening at that moment.
I had a grandfather that lived in South St. Louis, and we would visit during the summer months. At 6 years of age, I would talk nonstop, making it impossible for the adults to hold a conversation. My grandpa told me that I could play in the hose, and there might a bucket in the garage to fill up with water. I played in the hose for awhile, before I thought it would just be easier to go swimming!
Thank goodness the offer of walking the two blocks to Ted Drew's Frozen Custard was offered, or I might have stayed in the bucket the rest of the day.
As Franklin County Youth Fair Miss Congeniality 1993, I had the pleasure of handing out ribbons and trophies, but the best part of my 4 day reign was the Chubby Bunny Contest!
The local Mayor helped us to raise money for the local 4-H extension, by stuffing as many marshmallows into his mouth for a small donation.
(Please, note me cracking up in the lower left hand corner.)
