Today's Prompt:   I never get to _______ any more...

I never get to sleep-in or use the bathroom with out an army pounding on the door! I say this with a grin on my face, as it isn't a negative topic, just something I have learned to find humor in! My sweet little "angels," are morning people and I am NOT! I love the way I am awoken each morning, as each one of them comes in and has a very different style!

Ryan is my snuggle bear, and he will come in to let me know he is awake and then he crawls into bed with me until big brother wakes! Ryan, may or may not drift off to sleep again, but he wiggles in as close as he can, and loves those few moments early in the morning to have Mommy time. He loves to hold my hand, or play with my hair; and my heart just swells with love for this little boy every time he does it!

Mikey on the other hand, wants nothing to do with snuggling in the wee hours of the morning! He comes in and leans in, inches from my nose, and startles me awake..."Mommy! Can I turn on the TV?" In a semi-coma I tell him yes, and I will be out in a few minutes. He giggles, and walks away singing a random TV theme song, to the best of his ability! Gosh, I just love him to pieces! So independent, and ready to take on the world, way too early for my liking!

I can not tell you the last time, I was able to use the bathroom, without someone knocking on the door! Mikey is always by the door..."Mommy, hurry you have to see this drawing! Mommy, I need your help. Mommy, can I have a snack?"" Ryan I think watches me, until he knows I am in there, as he then pounds on the door..."Mommy, are you in there? Are you coming out? Mommy, where did you go?" I just laugh, as it is the few moments in my day that I can escape! Is it fair to hide in the bathroom? I laugh at the thought of creating an escape hatch, or digging out a tunnel...wonder how long it would take them to figure out, that I have escaped via the bathroom? Of course, my dear Monsters, I am in the bathroom...and will be out as soon as possible, but when will I be able to go in peace and quite?

So, sleeping in late and bathroom use alone, is a thing of the past...but I find humor in it all!
