Blog Dare: 109

Today's Prompt: Who I would love to bring with me to Bloggy Conference!

I would love to bring my best friend Jennifer H. to Bloggy Conference! She lives in Ohio, has a blog, and I can not tell you how much I miss her!

Jenn and I met in junior high school, and for some reason we just clicked. (We shared the same first name and quickly became Jen and Jenn, or double trouble.) We did so many glorious things though out high school, and were rarely apart our Junior and Senior. She and I both worked at Six Flags, and have many dear memories from our times behind the scenes of the theme park. To her credit she learned photography while working there...whereas I just learned to flirt with boys. (Funny story... she married the guy she worked with at Six flags and her date for our Senior Prom.) We lost touch for many years as, our lives headed in different directions. We both married, and moved away from our home town. She would be in Texas, and I was in New Jersey when we reconnected via social media five years ago.

She was one of the first calls I made, when my first born made his big arrival. She is the only one that I would stay up till 3am making a cake with, just to spend time together. She is the only person that couldn't wait to see Body World's with as we both have a freakish love for anatomy and science. She sent me flowers when both of my children were born as she couldnt be there in person. She has been through my cross country moves, job changes, and life events...all just a phone call away, yet there with me, as if by my side. The very definition of a best friend!

I was on the phone with her husband Derek, the whole time during Jenn's transfer of 3 eggs, in the hopes of getting one beautiful child though IVF. She called me laughing when, she recived my flowers, with a card inscribed "I hope you get knocked up!" (It was a moment that only 2 best friends can share.) My reaction, was not very lady like, the day she called to tell me that she was pregnant with triplets. The days passed and I was able to co-host a baby shower in her honor, did I mention she was beautiful while pregnant with the 3 little beans? My heart broke when she called to tell me that sweet baby C had passed away, and she was being taken to surgery to deliver her beautiful girls. Emma, Katherine, and Charles were able to share one family photo together, before the girls had to be taken to the NICU. My best friend was heart broken and so joyful, in a matter of moments. Emma and Katie will turn two, in September and they are so presious to me! Jenn and Derek Have been through so much, and I have been honored to be a part of their journey.

Jenn works full time, is a very talented photographer, and all around awesome mother to Emma and Katie. I can't think of anyone else who needs to be inspired and recharged, more than she does. Unfortuantly, neither one of us has the funds available to attend; as travel, hotel, and the cost of the attending is more than either of us can handle at this time. We have talked about it, and crave BFF bonding time...doesnt every woman need time away?
