Social Media Mom Mixer - Spring Into Summer 2013 #MomMixer


I had so much fun trying new products and samples, at the Social Media Mom Mixer - Spring Into Summer event in Philadelphia, co-hosted by Colleen Padilla and Whitney Wingerd! The event was all about moms, fashion, and getting ready for the summer with style. As soon as I heard about this event, I knew that I would be traveling to Philly, to find out the latest fashion trends!

Lands End was there with new and exciting swimsuits, to fit every mom! The designers were on hand to talk with each one of us about our challenges, and concerns about finding the right swimsuit. So much has changed since that last time I went shopping for a swimsuit, and just walked away in frustration! I am top heavy, and have never found a two piece that I feel confident in. After talking with the designers, I found out that you can order a tankini or bikini in your bra size! Lands End offers underwire, has many styles,and have options for breast cancer survivors post mastectomy. I love the many advances they have made to fit every shape and size, from size 2 to 26W! They have a new option called the Swim Tee, which is fashion forward and yet allows you to play on the beach or swim without changing or needing to cover up. 


When was the last time you left the fitting room excited about a new pair of jeans? I tried on four pairs of Lee Jeans, and each pair fit perfectly! This is unheard of for me, meaning I never find a perfect fit! I walked away with any extra bounce in my step, and loved the color of  the kelly green jeans. Fun, stylish, and an extra splash color; was exactly what I needed for my summer wardrobe!


Next I visited with the QVC and Send The Trend designers, and learned how to wear a scarf! I know it sounds silly, but I consider myself to be scarf challenged and am a little embarrassed to say that I only know one way to wrap my neck, and it is to stay warm! I was completely floored as my stylist showed me nine different ways I could wear a scarf, and it was beyond simple! Need a quick cover up at the pool? Looking to jazz up your favorite tee shirt, and short combination? Want to rock the board walk with a bohemian look? A scarf is the answer, and so simple to do!
